To commemorate an Open House for The Tint Tutor, Berlin Township Mayor Phyllis Magazzu was asked to smash a window with a baseball bat – but despite her best efforts the window barely cracked Why? To demonstrate the power of security window film and highlight the career opportunities in flat glass window film installation.
Trained window film installers are in high demand in the growing window film industry. The Tint Tutor is the only school on the East Coast that provides a 5-day, training program in flat glass window film installation. The Open House was held to introduce the job training facility to the community.
Window film (or window tint) is used on homes and commercial buildings to help improve the performance and comfort of a building. Special window films are applied to flat glass surfaces to assist with energy efficiency, add privacy, reduce glare, improve security, and provide other benefits most people never even think of.
The Tint Tutor sessions educate students on the benefits of window film, different types of films, safety precautions and regulations, and tools used in window film installation. Students have hands-on training each day learning and practicing application techniques and the properties of different types of film. A field trip enables students to see a real-world job site and professionals in action.
The Tint Tutor is led by the professionals of Eastern Solar Glass, a window film solutions company working for over 44 years throughout the Greater Delaware Valley. A 3M Premier Elite Prestige Dealer and a Certified Woman-Owned Small Business, the company provides consultation and installation services for solar, security, decorative, and specialty window films.
